Since their founding in 2015, they have since expanded their product range well beyond the Koala Mattress. Aside from Australia, Koala also caters to the Japanese and South Korean market.

On their website, they herald themselves to be Australia’s highest rated mattress brand and have garnered the award, ‘Most Satisfied Customers 2019 & 2021’ from Canstar Blue. Unpacking & Maintenance

How long does it take for the New Koala mattress to be ready for use?

The mattress can take up to 3-5 days to recover to its correct form and feel. Although it can be used right away, if you want to ensure optimum experience then waiting to sleep on it after 3-5 days can be an inconvenience.

How long can the New Koala mattress remain in the box?

To ensure integrity of the foam, it’s recommeneded to unpack it a few days after receiving the mattress. This can be an extra cumbersome step for some but it is best to arrange a schedule with their cusomter service team to have it delivered at the most convenient date.

Does the New Koala mattress need to be flipped?

It is recommended that the mattress be rotated 180 degrees once a month to maintain its integrity, shape, and feel. If it’s an inconvenience to you, there are some mattress brands like the Emma Original Mattress that do not require any flipping or rotating.

Mattress Cover

The cover of the New Koala mattress helps keep you cool all night which is made with TENCEL®  Lycocell fibre, which is known for its breathability. Although TENCEL® also has a higher absorbency which hampers moisture-wicking, it is a natural fabric good for the environment.

Top cover: Made of 65% Polyester, 35% TENCEL® Lyocell

Bottom cover: Made of 100% Polyester with PVC dot

Cover Feature Summary:

  • temperature-regulating
  • moisture-wicking
  • breathable
  • removable and washable
Is the New Koala mattress cover machine-washable?

No, unfortunately, it is not. Although the New Koala mattress is easily removed thanks to its zipper feature, it is recommended that the mattress cover be hand-washed with warm soapy water and line-dried in the shade. Best to spot clean only. This could possibly prove an inconvenience in the long run.

Conclusion – MOST CONVENIENT DELIVERY FOR METROS

The Australian-designed mattress consists of high-end material that suits people of all shapes and sizes. It is recommended that the mattress should be rotated 180 degrees once per month which might be cumbersome. Additionally, the mattress cover requires hand-washing and does not make for easy maintenance and care. Despite this, if speed and convenience of delivery are what you’re after then the Koala might be the solution you are looking for.
